6 questions for Bastian Schönfeld

Bastian Schönfeld has been part of the management of eepos GmbH since March 1, 2021. As a Master of Sciene in Finance and Accounting and a successfully completed tax consultant examination, he is responsible for the areas of finance and strategy. We asked him about his plans and visions and also where he can switch off best. 🙂

How long have you been with eepos and how did you come to eepos?

Bastian

Since 01.04.2015, I have moved from my probationary period at an auditing company to eepos in the financial accounting department. It took two attempts before I finally found my way to eepos. The contact came via a teammate and the recruitment via Friedhelm and Armin Mücher after open and honest discussions.

What makes eepos so special as a company?

Bastian

The people who work in the company. Each team member at eepos embodies similar basic attitude. The climate is characterized by respect, honesty, openness and a positive attitude towards life and living together as a team.
Employees do not need to pretend in the eepos environment. As a result, each employee brings a piece of "personality" to the company, and in the end, this makes eepos special because the character of the company is shaped by the employees.

What would you like to implement at eepos in the coming period?

Bastian

A lot of things and best of all yesterday already 😊. We are in a constant state of competition and change. My goal is to accompany eepos into a new era and to take every employee with me on this journey and inspire them to do so. The aspiration should be to become a little better every day than the day before. Only in this way will it be possible to survive on the market in the long term.

Where do you see the strengths of eepos?

Bastian

In courage and in the culture of mistakes. eepos is not afraid to go new ways, to try things out or to be open to new ideas. Of course, the approach is sometimes painful, but in the end, this is precisely the strength and the great opportunity to always move with the times and not to miss them.

Where do you see eepos in 10 years?

Bastian

In 10 years, eepos will be a globally functioning group that is no longer perceived as a crane supplier but as a solution-oriented quality partner. eepos will not sell a product, eepos will sell quality solutions that not only consider the product but the entire process.

What do you do in your private life to balance your job?

Bastian

In order to perform 100% at work, my private life and physical condition must also be 100% in harmony. For this reason, I take great care of my family and friendship relationships. To stay fit, I regularly play football, go running, do fitness and ski.
In addition, I try to challenge myself constantly besides my work and therefore I always have the ambition to educate myself in order to learn new subjects.
To fulfil my responsibility in society, I founded an association called "One Veedel" with my friends at the beginning of 2020, with which we want to pursue charitable causes worldwide.
